This cowl is knitted seamlessly in the round using lace weight yarn and a 3.25 mm (US size 3) circular needle. It is designed to be knitted holding two strands of lace weight yarn together.
It is knitted in a simple knit and purl pattern and could be worn with either side outwards. There are patterns for two sizes included.
The larger size uses approximately 67 g / 512 m or 560 yards of lace weight yarn and the smaller approximately 57 g / 423 m or 463 yards of lace weight yarn.
The pictures examples were knitted using one strand of Shoot Merino singles lace and a second strand of Seedhead, Seed, Shoot and Hip lace yarns in sections.
The larger size measures approximately 64 cm (25 inches) circumference, 27 cm (10.5 inches) deep and the smaller 53 cm (21 inches) circumference and 27 cm (10.5 inches) deep.
It could be knitted in a single colour or using mini skeins to vary the colours as in the pictured example.
