Aimed at beginners and also dyers who want to increase their knowledge, this is a one day workshop. You will learn how to dye cotton, wool and other animal cellulose or plant fibres using natural dyes.

We will cover the steps involved in natural dyeing including preparing the fibres, mordanting, sourcing dyes and types, extracting dyes, using modifiers to produce a variety of colours.

The cost covers all materials, notes to take away with you and a range of samples of yarn, fibre and fabric. Morning and afternoon refreshments are included but please bring your own packed lunch.

This workshop is held in my studio in Culworth in Northamptonshire. It will run from 10am to 4pm. Class sizes are limited to four participants.

We will be working with liquids that may splash so please wear clothing you don't mind working in and also bring an apron. Please bring rubber gloves to protect your hands.

Cancellation policy: We will provide a full refund for cancellations up to 14 days notice. But we understand that shorter notice may be given in extreme circumstances.  If less than 14 days notice is given a refund may be offered if a replacement can be found for your place. We reserve the right to cancel this workshop if there are not enough attendees. In the unlikely event of cancellation you will be offered an alternative date or refund.
