Loosetrife wrist warmers kit double knit

This kit consists of a pattern for the Loosetrife wrist warmers plus 50g of double knit yarn plus contrast yarn to make either of the options shown. 

They are a size to fit a ladies average sized hands. They are knitted flat and then seamed. There is a hole left for the thumb to slip through.

There are three options detailed in this pattern, (A) Knitted flower motif; (B) Swiss darned flower motif or (C) embroidered flower motif.  

The inspiration for the flower design came from a yellow loosestrife flower in the garden.

The wrist warmers are knitted on 3.75mm needles.

There is are options for pink or yellow flower details and also one for 100g main colour which is enough yarn to make two pairs.

It would make a great gift for the knitter in your life. It is packaged an organza bag.

The main yarn is my Root base which is 75% Blue Faced Leicester and 25% Gotland.

Double knit 100g Skeins Approx. 230m

It is a bouncy yarn made of two types of fleece blended together which give a softly marbled finish and depth to the final colours. It would be lovely used on its own for hats, mittens, jumpers, shawls, cardigans and tees. 

I have tried to capture the colour of the yarn as accurately as possible. Please bear in mind that monitors vary and colours can be perceived differently.

Due to the nature of hand dyeing, the colours in each skein may be slightly different and no two skeins will be identical. As with any hand dyed wool, if using more than one skein then alternating skeins on every couple of rows will help to balance any slight differences.

I have rinsed the yarn until it runs clear. However, some dye may remain.
I recommend you soak your finished item in a gentle/pH neutral soap. Natural dyes can change or fade slightly as they age. Hang to dry away from direct sunlight and store in a dark place.
