Highlander cosy kit aran

This kit consists of a pattern for the Highlander tea cosy, yarn, buttons and stuffing. 

This tea cosy is knitted in Allium Threads Leaf Organic Merino Aran yarn.

This tea cosy is to pop on a teapot and keep the tea warm. The Highlander is designed to fit a large (six cup) tea pot. 

 

There is a seperate kit available for a smaller one (Little Highlander) is designed to fit a small (two cup) tea pot.

The main yarn is Leaf Organic Merino Aran. 

Also included are two buttons for eyes and polyester stuffing to stuff the head. The only item not included that you will need is a very small amount of black yarn to stitch the nose.

It would make a great gift for the knitter in your life.

I have tried to capture the colour of the yarn as accurately as possible. Please bear in mind that monitors vary and colours can be perceived differently.

Due to the nature of hand dyeing, the colours in each skein may be slightly different and no two skeins will be identical. As with any hand dyed wool, if using more than one skein then alternating skeins on every couple of rows will help to balance any slight differences.

I have rinsed the yarn until it runs clear. However, some dye may remain.
I recommend you soak your finished item in a gentle/pH neutral soap. Natural dyes can change or fade slightly as they age. Hang to dry away from direct sunlight and store in a dark place.
